Both experiences I’ve had here have been amazing. The restaurant itself is very clean and has amazing views of the Chesapeake Bay. Both waiters I had (Sydney and David) had exceptional customer service!! I highly recommend this place to others. The Crab Cakes, Chesapeake Mac & Cheese, Hush Puppies and Fried Green Tomato BLT is delicious!
We were a group of 4 who came for dinner and were lucky with the weather. It was warm enough to sit outside. Outdoor dining terrace offered wonderful views of the water and sunset. This created a wonderful ambiance for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our friendship.
Food was great and views by the water were perfect and just what I needed. I ordered shrimp and oysters and loved every bit of it. We were served by Adam. Parking was available which was a gem for this city girl to not have to struggle to find parking. Will definitely be back.
Food was good. Service was great. Atmosphere I gave four stars, mostly because I'm used to it being a little more quiet around this time, which is just a personal preferance. It wasn't bad, just hard to make conversation with my dad or hear our server between the live music and loud drunk people, which is no big deal. Other than that minor thing everything was great.
It was my mother 91st birthday Robin the manager was very kind professional and she made our party of 18 plus feel very welcome. She deserves a raise and promotion. Her smile lights of the room she is so genuine . Everything was delicious i highly recommend this restaurant. ! Thank you Robin Palva
If dining on good old fashioned American hamburgers and other popular American foods by the ocean sounds like a dream come true, then swing on by and give 1936 Bar & Grill a try. I love how the restaurant combines the old with the new and puts their own spin on popular dishes like the Big Kahuna burger and fried green tomatoes. Personally, I’d prefer regular sliced pineapple on my burger, but otherwise, I love their Big Kahuna burger. Now all that it needs is a $5 milkshake, within reason, of course, ha ha! #PulpFictionFan So yeah, if you love good food and are feeling nostalgic for 20th century American culture, then give 1936 Bar & Grill a try, especially after a long day of gambling and/or walking along the beach. Shoutout to my future husband, Andy, and his family for taking me here before work! 😃
Had a great brunch at 1936 Bar & Grill. Robin (manager) and Sofia (server) made the experience even better—super friendly and on point. The food and drinks were excellent. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
Amazing food, nothing here have I not liked that I've tried. Atmosphere is great plenty of space for everyone. And service is absolutely amazing everyone I have had serve me has been a blessing unlike no other. So to the staff keep up the great work!!! Lost my card here recently and it became all hands on deck to find and for that I thank you all!!!!
My family and I visited 1936 yesterday to celebrate my Mother's birthday. We had such a great waitress Trinity. The food and appetizers were amazing. She also presented my mother a birthday dessert (banana pudding) . She was so nice and attentive despite her working multiple tables at once. The view was beautiful and the staff overall were very nice and accommodating. I will definitely visit again, thanks Trinity & staff.
Great weather to sit out on the deck. The view was really nice and exactly what we were looking for. The food was good and so was the sangria!
